Seaweed Salt Seafood Pasta: A Taste of the Ocean

Ingredients

  • 400g linguine or spaghetti

  • 300g mixed seafood (such as prawns, squid, and mussels)

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup dry white wine

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of Isle of Skye Sea Salt Crystals with Seaweed Flakes

  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a generous pinch of salt and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. Add the mixed seafood to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until just starting to turn opaque.

  4. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.

  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with the butter, lemon zest, and juice. Toss everything together, adding some of the reserved pasta water if needed to create a silky sauce.

  6. Sprinkle in the Isle of Skye Sea Salt Crystals & Seaweed Flakes and chopped parsley. Toss again to combine.

  7. Taste and adjust seasoning with more seaweed salt and black pepper if desired.

  8. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and a final sprinkle of seaweed salt if desired.
