Discover how to make perfectly crispy jacket potatoes in your air fryer, with a fluffy interior and seasoned with a pinch of skye salt.
Ingredients
-
4 medium-sized baking potatoes (about 200g each)
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tsp Isle of Skye Sea Salt Flakes, plus more for serving
-
Optional toppings: butter, cheese, baked beans, sour cream
Directions
Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly. Prick them several times with a fork.
Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of crunchy sea salt.
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they're not overcrowded.
Set the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) and cook for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through.
Check for doneness by piercing with a fork. The skin should be crispy, and the inside soft.
Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes.
Cut a cross on top of each potato, gently squeeze to open, and add your favourite toppings.
Sprinkle with additional salt crystals before serving.
Recipe Note
The air fryer method yields jacket potatoes with an irresistibly crispy skin and fluffy interior in less time than traditional oven baking. The Isle of Skye Sea Salt crystals enhance the potato's natural flavour and provide a delightful crunch.
